Bath Time Reviews: Valentine’s Edition! Heart Throb bubbleroon from Lush
It’s time for another bath review, this time in the spirit of the season.
Lush has rolled out a couple of great items for this Valentine’s Day, and one of those is this little guy above, known as the Heart Throb bubbleroon. According to Lush, a bubbleroon is a mash-up of a bubble bar and a macaroon (you know, those tasty pastries with cream in the middle?)
You simply crumble up the bar under running water and let all the good stuff fill your tub with bubbles and glitter and a wonderful scent. This particular bar features shea butter, ylang ylang, and geranium essential oils. Though mostly made up of florals, I found the scent on the perfume-y side, which I usually dislike, but this was still quite pleasant. It was aromatic without being too overbearing, and does bring about a really romantic atmosphere.
The appearance of the bath is what really sells it. Admittedly, there weren’t a ton of bubbles, but a decent amount to cover the surface of the bath. I really enjoyed the rich, red coloring of the water and the flecks of golden glitter.
It pretty much screams Valentine’s day.
I think I still prefer bath bombs, but I like this as my first introduction to a bubbleroon and would consider getting more in the future, especially if they were themed like this (I’m a sucker for a theme). I’d give this bath a 7 out of 10.
